Its official – 2008 is the coldest summer on record!!

Alpine Fire Engineers celebrate the coldest summer on record with yet another Food cold store.

The new distribution centre for food retail giants Co-op, represents another contract win in a long list of food projects for Alpine.

The £700k+ contract has been secured through Clegg Food Projects and will commence on site September 2008.

The distribution centre contains all aspects of sprinkler protection such as ESFR, dry drops, conventional control mode sprinkler protection, in-rack sprinkler protection, gaseous systems, office protection and associated pumps and tanks.

“The credit crunch is affecting all aspects of UK industry. During tough times in the retail sector, Alpine have partnered with key retailers that are still able grow whilst the rest of the market appears to be in decline. Food sales are increasing, whilst general retail levels are regressing. We see the food sector as a major growth market and we are happy to celebrate another food contract with Co-op Retail”

The project will be completed in early 2009.
